Once again Maggie and Molly my cats were outside in the back yard I open the door to take the trash out. Maggie had a Lovy dove bird in her mouth and trying to bring it in. And it wasnt a little bird! I had to push her from the door and when I did it got loose and flew away. Yea! it was okay. She has become such a hunter since we have been here.LOL

Terry, is your back yard fenced in? Can your cats escape further from the house? Hunting is a natural thing they do. Try putting a bell on a collar, so the birds can get away. Hugs, M&M

Tsk, tsk,....aren't you feeding those two properly? Are they neglected, starved? Is that why they have to resort to hunting for their own food...Just kidding... :) Did the two ever do this at your old place? Wonder why all of a sudden they are getting to be hunters...too bad you can't train your kitties to hunt for money instead...LOL--What does a Lovy dove bird look like anyway?

Oh no, I hate when they bring you presents..Luckily I have only indoor cats now, but my last outdoor cat was a great hunter, It was so sad to see these poor animals that she was catching.

I dunno whether or not you have laws there about cats & native birds etc but if you want your cat(s) to stop, you should probably put a little collar with a bell on her to warn the birds she's coming! My cats have had to be fitted with bells coz they were killing too many natives birds & since i live in the country, i thought it was the best idea coz i didn't want them killing all the pretty little birds that visit my garden. It's up to you of course but i guess if you don't want any more presents it would be the way to go :)
