Icky, sticky, goo! We made Rice Krispie treats and the boys had more on their

hands than in the pan..It was great! They were trying to spread them out on the pan and they were sticking to their fingers, and they say, "grama, it is sticking to me." I told them to just eat it off their fingers. They tried spoons to spread it out and it stuck to them as well! So we all were in the kitchen with rice krispies all over us. Even Papa was in on it..We had a blast! It is so fun to be in the kitchen with the kids helping. They are so very funny.

That's the best thing about rice krispie treats, they stick all over. I have found that when I make them I spray pam on my hands before pressing them down into the pan. It is much less sticky and messy, but not as fun for the kids.

I thought about that but I wanted to see what they would do when the Krispies got stuck to their hands. It was exactly what I had envisioned. LOL thank you.

Papa cleaned up this one because the boys and I went to the park. They always want to help and I always let them. As long as they are not around the stove then they are welcome to stir, pour, or whatever is needed. I even let them measure and make sure it goes up to the exact measurement needed.

Now that would have been a good time to take pictures of them. I bet they were adorable all covered in sticky treats. Was there even any left when you were finished making them? Or did everyone have it all in their tummies from eating it off their hands? LOL

It was very funny, but when you are suppose to take pictures the camera is no where in sight. The little one was eating the marshmallows plain. He was following me around the kitchen asking to have one more. Just one more grama. It was a blast. There was some left.

I love rice krispies!! They are the best!! I have been making them with my kids all Summer, I spray Pam on my hands and the kids hands so it doesn't stck so bad =) They sounds really good right now...yummy!!

We even mixed the rice krispy cereals. We used half chocolate and half regular. They looked really good and tasted yummy. Next time I will spray their hands and see what they say..thank you.

I havent had the pleasure in making theese with my toddlers yet. But I cant wait to start making stuff like that. Right now they help me make meals and stir the things I am making, LOL. We have tons of fun doing that!

You are gonna love it. I think it is important to get them as involved as we can. I was never allowed in the kitchen, I never learned how to cook. I was never allowed to do laundry, so I never learned how until I got out on my own. I want them to experience all that they can, even if it is messy. LOL

i know its fun with kids in the kitchen my suggestion would be to have a bowl of warm water so they can dip there hands in it so the mixture won't stick, but that might be wrecking half the fun of it
