I was reading the packet to see how much sugar was needed and I couldn't believe my eyes. It said, "add 1 cup of regular sugar and 1 cup of artificial sweetener." I was like, "that is way too much sugar, YUK!" and of course my 3 year old grandson repeated what I said word for word. It didn't taste too bad. I just used 2 cups of the artificial sweetener instead of real sugar..I was thinking it would be better..I got to thinking about how much sugar was in a packet of Kool Aid, and so I looked on the back of the package again just now and it says, "add 1 cup of regular sugar OR 1 cup of artificial sweetener. The word OR was in there not AND. Good grief, I am so embarrassed. If I had a brain I would be dangerous..LOL..Anyone else do stuff like this? I just should have had the 3 year old do it, and he can't even read yet....LOL

LOL~ that is so funny. I do things like that all the time. I read things backwards ect. I bet your grandson was on a huge sugar high after a drink of that koolaid. When I make it, I usually put 1/2 the sugar in because it is so sweet anyways. I can't imagine making it with double~yuck.

Well, I was so worried when I made it that I added half kool aid, half water in their cup, and added ice cubes to water it down. I am glad I did. They don't ever drink Kool Aid so I don't think they knew the difference. I thought maybe they would like to try it. They always drink juice.

Yeah, one cup is too much, I put in 3/4. My family hates it when I do that, so I can't imagine what they would do if I put in 1/2 cup. lol

It was only 1 cup. I read it wrong..I thought it was weird..I read AND instead of OR..I haven't made kool aid in years and had only thought it was 1 cup..

I do things like that all the time, I have started always going back and reading everything a second time. I did find that not always are they always the same. I was making hamburger helper one day and was making 2 boxes and there was two different instructions. The amount of milk was different. It was strange.

I will read more carefully the next time I decide to do something new. That is weird.

Yes, Katlady2 I did have the gastric bypass July 25, 2005. It will be 2 years tomorrow. WOW! How time flies when we are having fun, and losing weight was a whole lot of fun. I just lost a couple more so I am down 158 lbs. now. I have no regrets and am extremely happy. I had no complications either. Keep me posted, okay?

hahaha you make me laugh Feona. I have yet to do anything like that YET. My son likes kool aid too and we have the one where you just add water - its probably as sweet as the one you make LOL I always tend to water it down too much and my son always says I make yucky drinks LOL
