My wittle baby girl Alexi is only three and a half months (will be four months on Aug 6th) and for the past couple weeks shes just the drooliest kid you've ever seen. She's constantly chewing on her hand and cries if there is no pacifier or bottle or something in her mouth. I have no pictures right now that don't have a fist in her mouth. My wonder is, can she already be teething??

Some kids start drooling and showing signs of teething a couple of months before their teeth actually show. Happened with my second.

Yes, she may be teething, my son got his first two teeth at 4 months and I have heard of some babies getting theirs earlier. I felt really bad when my son popped out with 2 on the same day. I thought because he had only just gone 4 months that he wouldn't be getting teeth just yet and he was crying nearly all day. It wasn't until late afternoon that I realised that these two teeth had come through. I gave him some panadol and bonjela after that and he felt a lot better.

Some babies start teething long before any teeth actually start coming through. My son started teething when he was only about 10 weeks old. His first two teeth came through right around his 4 month mark. One was a couple days before, the other on his 4 month birthday. He was all drooly pretty much that whole time in between. But once he got the first four, he quit drooling so bad. He's 17 months old right now, and getting tooth number 11. It's a molar so it hurts, but he isn't drooling as much this time. Just kind of cranky and keeps telling us that he has an ow ow in his mouth.

She is probably teething. It seems like she is too young, but believe it or not, my son cut his first tooth at 2 months old! I couldn't believe it either. She is an advanced little girl.

Sure she could be :) My daughter started at about 4 months but it took another 4 months until the tooth actually pushed through - i think she the 1st came through just before she was 8 months & then a 2nd one came through a week later. My daughter has 6 teeth at the moment but i've noticed that every time 1 tooth came, the next one was only about a week behind, then the 3rd tooth came in a couple months later & the 4th a week after that! Some kids also actually get teeth early too, so just get her a toy that's a soft rubbery type of toy & let her chew on that - any teething toy is good, my daughter also loves chewing on her shoes, board books etc - anything that they can put pressure on their gums with. Good luck!

Awww, poor Alexi (great name by the way). Yes she is probably teething. Poor you as well because teething is very hard on a mommy too. You want to just take the soreness away. Hang in there, my friend, she will be through this stage in no time and you will find yourself wishing for the days of pictures with fist in her mouth.

Its quite possible, the teeth move around alot in there before they actually start to pop out too. My bub teethed at 4 months, but they are all different little angels and it can happen at any time..

She can be. My neice who is 3 almost 4 months old has one front tooth already so she could be teething. My sons first tooth didnt come out till he was like 7 or 8 months, but all kids are different.
