PLANTING AFRICAN MAHOGANY TREES

I'm wanting to plant a couple of african mahogany trees in our backyard (large yard) to help block the hot western sun. We live in north west queensland. I'm just wondering how far apart I should plant them, trying to decide if I need 2 or 3 trees.
