Pain issues?

I've often wondered what other people do to deal with their pain.
Since my cancer, thyroid, lymphnode, and surrounding back issues from it I have dealt with severe, chronic pain. Can anyone share what they have done to deal with it themselves?
I have medications, hate being on them all the time and will rarely do so for long periods.
Do you have medication? Non-medicinal?

Well I have been disabled for over 20 years because of my back. i have cronic pain also. I am in pain 24/7. I have all kinds of pain medication also nothing helps, I have tens units, massagers all sorts of things. I can not find relief any kind of way. The doctors say I will have to live with the pain, and that is what I try to do.Water helps me, if I can get into the pool or a hot tub, that is the only thing I have found to help.

Usually when I am in pain, I will take some tylenol. I see a chiropractor for my back pain and neck pain. Another thing I will do is put a ice pack around my neck or in the area that I am hurting and that usually helps for a while. I use a brace for my right hand since I have a mild case of carpal tunnel.
