Hooray! I made it! I started my first day back to school at the age of 55. I attended classes in Business English and Files Maintenance. The time came when I had to find a new career since I am no longer able to perform the work I used to do. I am going to school to get my license in Phlebotomy. I have always enjoyed that subject and there is no time like the present. It was scary sitting in classrooms with ladies that were younger than my daughters! My daughters have already acquired their Bachelors degrees. To tell you the truth, I had fun! If you had to find a new career would you return to school to get what you wanted?

I must say I really admire you. It is really commendable of you to participate in life-long learning. I am sure the learning will be a fun experience for you. A pat for you. I comtemplated taking up a degree course and after calculation, it requires a total of 13 years for me to become a practioner. I decide not to go for it. I am more afraid of unable to cope with the additional commitment to my already tight committment. lol.

I understand about the pressure of an already full schedule. I found it possible only because I moved in with a friend and it brought my expenses down. I had to give up my cat but she went to a good home. I just finished my first week. So far everything is going well. I made an A on my first Business Eenglish exam and the second exam was really tough. I made a B+. I have been spending all my free time studying and thanks to good roommate, the noise level has been kept low. He makes the other renter leave the house and go to his own apartment. I hope you continue to try to go to school. I am enjoying the new experience.
