what is actually the meaning of spamming. this thing make me confuse a lot. anyone can help me?

spamming is when someone types something more than once and it becomes annoying to others online..kind of like if i were to reply to a few discussions saying the same things over and over purposely trying to upset someone..or if I just went into a chatroom and kept saying 'i like cheese' or something like that..thats the definition I always knew...

I was going to explain the difference and then there was another response that pretty much sums it all up...as far as email is concerned, I always considered spam to be that mail that either has nothing to do with the rest of my mail, or something so random and pointless, that I have no other choice but to delete it...

Spamming means sending emails (for example) to someone else's emails who does not belong to the same group or site. If he is sending the mails to person who has registered to the same site or group, this is no longer considered spam.
