Tempting Spams

Currently I have been receiving mails which I never solicited in my inbox. The contents of this mail are so tempting it offered me millions of dollars in exchange of doing something for them. One mail informed me that I won in a lottery draw which I did not register. Then requested me to deposit a substantial amount to a bank for the taxes of my winnings. Of course I did not respond since I have a feeling that this offer is bogus. Months after, I received again mails offering me to be a beneficiary of someone who was rich but died. I did not respond to these spams. A week ago I heard the news that indeed some users had been swindled via the net. Some people expect something out of sweet messages and presto, some people are also gnashing their teeth why they have responded and obeyed those spams.

I did answer a few. They tell you it's free or cheap but once you register you find out you need to spend more to get the sites to work. Most are trying to get other people to buy what you bought. If you get anyone to sign-up your commission is LOW. I also got the beneficiary email. That is completely a scam and probably illegal.

Well the reason you get all this spam is the belief by spammers that anyone using a computer other than at work is either a homemaker or unemployed. They believe that women are housewives because they are too stupid to get a job (not that they prefer to stay at home and keep the house) and those men who are at home are too lazy to get a job or they caused that accident. In other words, they think you brought it on yourself and deserve to be cheated or scammed. So now that you understand the motives and the contempt they feel towards their victim, one can better be able to resist such temptations. That is why I was able to resist their lures. No one, but no one tells me that I am a housewife because I am stupid and gets away with it.
