Would you choose a boyfriend who is shorter than you?

Today I had dinner with my english teacher who is from the U.S. We talked about different concepts in choosing your partner.He told me that there are two things that chinese pay a lot attention to but westerners dont care,one is age,two is height.Its quite true.Although I dont care age that much,I would never choose a boyfriend who is shorter than me.Its so weird for me.How about you,my dear friend?

I am afraid your American teacher is right. I am a Chinese girl and I do pay attention to these two points. One is the age and the other is the height. I won't date with someone who is older than me 10 years old, also I won't go out with someone who is younger than me. My boyfriend has to be taller than me, even if a little bit.

I see your point.I have the same idea before but now I am dating a boy who is one year younger than me.He is really a nice guy and I dont want to give up because of one year difference.What do you think?

I'm a guy and I can honestly say that I would never date a girl that was higher than me. But I'm almost 2 m. so I don't think that would ever be a problem ;-)

I am only 5'2", so I would definitely not choose a boyfriend shorter than me. Mostly, the only males who are shorter than me are children, and even my friend's 10-year-old son is almost as tall as me, if not taller by now!

Yes,I agree.It mostly depends on your own height.I am only 158 centimeters high so I cannt bear my partener is shorter than me.I dont know if I am taller than you:-)Anyway,thanks for your response.
