Is it true that women find the 'bad boys' more appealing than 'nice guys?'

I'm not really sure about this, but from what i hear, women generally find the bad guys more attractive than nice guys. I'm a guy and I don't really get why that is so. Best guess that i can come up with is that bad guys are tend to be more interesting than the nice guys. Are nice guys really that uninteresting? Can the bad guys provide more of what the women need? Any response and comments on this would be helpful. thanks.

I guess it's just the thrill of doing something you shouldn't do. It's like getting a giant bannana split when you are 30 lbs overweight and on a diet. You know you shouldn't but it just looks so apealing. You don;t care what anyone else thinks, or says, you just want that banna split.
