Going Dutch: Have you ever 'gone Dutch' when eating out with your friends?

At one point of time when we are a student we all'go Dutch' when eating out.Even for a pint of beer at a bar or a mug of coffee and snacks for that matter. I've also seen people from some community footing the bills turn by turn(i.e one foots the bill today the next guy foots the bill tomorrow) which looked nice and healthy.By going Dutch, you are only charged for your own meal that you've eaten at the end of the meal .Splitting the bills is a healthy thing and saves you from going broke when we are students.
But i don't think its a good idea that we should still follow that practice once when all your friends are settled well and have a lucrative job. Will ye still go Dutch?

I think going "dutch" is the best..If it isnt "dutch" I usually end up payin the bill since people I go with always say they have no money to pay for their own.

We use to do that when we were in larger groups i.e sports teams and we used to pay for just our own. I preferred it that way because others would eat up the menu and I would just have a snack and will only have to pay for that.
When we are in smaller groups then we usually split the bill or one will shout and the other will return the favor, it all depends on who we are dining with though.

we all go dutch too when we were still students. we eat out and we divide the bill exactly among themselves. not just pay for our own meal, but we divide the bill so each one of us will pay the same amount. ^__^ and then sometimes, when we are having a picnic or a drinking session ^__^;;, we'd assign each of us a specific food to bring. like, i'm going to bring the drinks, the other will bring fingerfoods, the other will bring rice, and so on. ^__^
now that all of us are working, we still go dutch at times. we treat each other during paydays alright, but not everyday is payday so at times that we go out and eat and its not a payday, we go dutch. we don't always have a lot of money. and all of us have other expenses too so we can't always pay for all the bill. ^__^

Yup, my friends and I usually go Dutch when we eat out. Even now that we each have jobs, we still divide the total bill of our dinner. Sometimes, we divide the bill equally; sometimes we just chip in on the bill. At other times, we take turns in paying for the whole meal. I don’t think there is something wrong with going Dutch even if we now have jobs, the same principle still applies.
