I target this question specifically to ladies here on mylot. Kindly choose one from among the following. 1. A Platinum Ring with diamond 2. A Gold Ring with diamond 3. A nice dress 4. A set of diamond earrings. I am eagerly waiting for your choices as the most chosen gift would be the one which I would gift to my wife on her birthday.

I would like to have a nice dress because I don't like wearing jewelry. I even don't have the earring holes for my ears.

pick one of the above huh, ok humm sense I'm really not that picky I think it would have to be a nice dress I don't need anything expensive for my husband to tell me he loves me like rings and jewelry just something casual and nice..

LOL. Does the ladies here get a gift too if your selection is the same:P If it is a gift for your wife, I would think it is more appropriate to ask her directly instead of the preference of the ladies at mylot. In my opinion, there is a possibility that what your wife prefers might not be same as the highest vote from mylotters.

I agree with you, its best to really ask what the girl really wants. My boyfriend used to buy expensive flowers and I just see it rot and die away, I told him next time dont buy flowers anymore for it would only be a waste of his money. I suggested he could buy me books and colorful notebooks and the like and he folwed it the next birthday. AT least it made me happy and made him happy as well.

If I'm made to choose, it is none of the above. I'm not fond of these things. I want something different which is worth enough for both. What about a tour to Europe? It's time to relax and unwind.

that indeed is a good idea. I will keep it on my list the next year. Thanks for the response.

I agree with you on this. For my birthday I would rather have a nice little weekend get away with my hubby. Or a nice dinner with family and friends.

Yah I would prefer a nice dinner over dimonds gold and dresses. I don't want my husband to buy me any of these and spend tons of money without me choosing. I would endup returning them anyway.

A nice dress would do. But not just an ordinary dress, but a dress that would really look good on her, and you will never stop looking at her when she wears it. It will be up to you what kind of dress would you like. It will also depend on her built. :D Good luck! :D

A bunch of flowers from my family members. I do not celebrate my birthday in a grand manner. It is simple family gettogether.

Maybe a book. My hubby & I often give books to one another birthdays or Christmas, as we both love reading.

I am partial to rings perferably gold but I am really not that fussy. Though most of my rings are hearts with some sort of stone. I'm sure your wife will love any of them though.

You know your wife better than any of us here and know what she loves. If she loves to wear jewlry, pick the type she wears most. If she loves rings, get her the platinum and diamond one. If she prefers earrings, get her the earrings. If she doesn't often wear jewlry, but she loves to look and feel pretty, get her a nice dress. As for me, all i really wanted for my birthday this year was for my best friend to come visit me and give me a big hug and kiss. i got that and more.

I would have liked the platinum ring (really a silver one). My birthday is tomorrow by the way. I know I will not get any of the things you mention. I do think I might get an art piece though. What did you give your wife?

so you are taking a poll and going to buy the gift which maximum people select.great idea..I will choose the fourth option " set of diamond earings".She can preserve it well and wear it on some important occasions and offcourse she will be the attraction if she wears it. dont forget to update whats the gift that won the maximum point?

I am partial to earrings so I'd choose the earrings but any of them would be a very generous birthday gift. I'm glad you chose non-practical items. I hate getting practical items for my birthday. Will you let us know what you decide on and how she liked it?

I would first say dress because I am not really into jewelries. But since in the choices it seems it is the cheapest one, I would go for the gold ring with diamond. Ring symbolizes binding together. So I guess you could write in the card that it would keep you binded together for the rest of your lives. You know your wife better. If she really likes jewelries, then go for the ring. For me, I would prefer a nice fancy branded watch since it is more practical that the ring or earings (if she already has one). I hope it doesn't offend you. But whatever your choice, I am sure your wife will like it, since it is from the most important person in he life.

oh my! it's really hard to choose with those choices you have.. i'm sure, your wife would love any of them because it's from you.. it's not the thing but the thought that counts and it's the person who gave that gift to her would be more important and appreciated i think.. but you're so very thoughtful and very sweet husband huh.. your wife is such a lucky one.. anyway, just tell your wife a happy birthday! i think mine is a gold ring with diamond! hehehee.. goodluck..

I prefer people to give me cash for any gift. I am very different from most of my family and have different tastes. So, I rarely get gifts that I want or enjoy. I would rather get money so I can get what I want.

choose a gift thatshe doesnt have yet. but if she has everything, i would go for the earrings. i guess you had lots of rings already so i pick the earrings. its better if you are the one who would put the earrings to her ears.

I wouldn't take any of them, I'd rather get a card and have my loved onces around. But, if it were I had to choose one, I'd pick the first one.

I would choose none of the above. But if my husband does insist on buying some gold/platinum/diamond stuff for me, I would convert the gift to cash by selling it off. hahaha!!! Seriously - my husband won't buy these for me cos we are both not into these stuff. I would prefer a nice relaxing dinner at the DOME restaurant. At least we both get to rest and enjoy the dinner. Buying dress or ring I can only enjoy it but if we both go out for dinner we both can enjoy it with him paying the bill of course!!!!!
