I make it a habit to go to the fair once a year but for the past few years the fair has been the same thing. I hate to pay the price to see the same rides - products on distplay - fruits and veg - same winners of the contests. How about you? hugs

I don't remember going to a county fair but I always try to go to the state fair. I love the state fair. I mostly go for the food. The food is awesome. I've lived in two states, where I live now (HI) the state fair sucked. It was really small, but it's a small island so I shouldn't have expected much. They didn't have many food vendors or rides and the food wasn't that good. In my home state (MD) the fair is much better, a lot bigger, more rides and the awesome food. Did I mention I loved the food :)

Here on the island I reside there is a fair held every Saturday, I guess you could call it is county fair. They sell everything from local crafts, livestock, flowers, local foods, coconut oil (locally made), ice cream, slush, snacks and mini game booths for the kids. They also have various competitions like the largest pumpkin, the smallest coconut tree with coconuts and the largest and smallest animals such as pigs and cows. The flowers range from exotic orchids to miniature bamboo plants. I take my kids once a month, I actually go there for the food…lol..It is really good, I love a lot of the local food but hate cooking it!...lol… My kids enjoy looking at the livestock such as chickens, pigs and cows but we never purchase any they are expensive and for those who live on a farm. It is a great place that has a lot to offer and I enjoy going there.
