I dress according to the type of event, if it is a formal occasion like a wedding or a dinner party I might dress up a bit, and if it is just a casual gettogether then I might opt to dress a bit more casualy.

I agree with you. But did you ever show up dressed for a theme party only to realize it was a dress up theme party. My aunt went to a Luau' dressed in a coconut top and grass skirt and when she walked in everyone was dressed in beautiful floral Hawiian dresses!
