Maybe MyLot Should Introduce a Clock

There has been much disagreement lately about who posted which discussion first. After giving it a lot of thought, I came up with this idea: Wouldn't it be great if MyLot could time the discussions when you post them, thereby eliminating all the arguments about who posted what first. All that would be necessary then is to check the date and time of anyone's post and you would have proof. Does this sound like a good idea?

Technically speaking our discussions do have sort of a "time" that they are posted, for instance looking at this discussion, you posted it 6 hours ago...so if someone else came along and did the exact same discussion 4 hours ago, it would prove you posted the discussion first, but I do understand what you mean as far as specifics as exact day and time..that would be great

I understand what you are saying, pyewacket, but here is a case in point. Several times I have browsed through the discussion to see if there is one I'd like to respond to. It will say the discussion was posted maybe 20 minutes ago, but once I enter my response and tags, I will learn that the best response has been chosen some time ago. The discussion is older than it appears to be. I think they should remove them after a best response has been chosen.

WEll I don't know about that one....I've often responded to a discussion that had already received a best response simply since I was interested in the discussion --also if discussions are removed after best response, wouldn't we lose points or have money deducted???

Im sure, I really dont care when discussions are started, it dosnt bother me at all...I just go through my friends discussions first anyway and thats only when I can get to them..

That's all well and good, Calais, but I'm speaking from the viewpoint of someone who has been all but accused of stealing another person's discussion. That is very hurtful. With so many people on MyLot, naturally there will be some duplication of discussions from time to time, but I wouldn't accuse someone of stealing mine unless I had proof and saw a pattern.

That sounds like an excellent idea.
