I color my hair so much it's amazing how I still know what my natural color is. Do you think it's bad to keep changing your color frequently? Which color have you loved that you've never been able to get again?

I try to color my hair every 6 weeks or so. Usually red. Sometimes I can't afford it though (and we're not talking about going to a salon, I do it myself). It dries out the hair, but if you condition and get regular trims it should be fine. The first time I had my hair dyed red (professionally) it came out the color of a candy apple. It was so amazing. Even my mom loved it. Even the salon couldn't duplicate that.

Ha ha, I know what you mean. I had mine professionally done one time with blond and red highlights. Let me tell you, we haven't been able to duplicate that one ever! Candy apple sounds nice, lol I think I had that one once in my previous job. I remember walking into the office, and the girls where like, "what the f***", lol. I think I color mine more than you, oh my goodness, lol. I think I'm a bad apple.

I have heard that its not good for us. That some say it causes cancers, ear infecions and the darker the color the more dangerous it is....if memory serves here. I do color my hair all the time...but if you dont have to, its something to reconsider.

Yeah, I heard also that it kills all those natural oils your hair produces naturally, leading to hair loss as well. I never heard about the cancer, but gees it's something to read about and get informed on my part. I mean, I think I abuse it too much. I think I must color my hair every other month. There's been weeks that I don't like the way it comes out and the next day, I change it. It's a wonder that I'm not bald :( .
