My husband and I are such good friends and have most of the same interests, but...sometimes I honestly think he forgets I am also woman. We both love baseball, football, boating, etc, but sometimes I just want to watch something else on TV. He will look and me and say "what ARE you watching". He does sometimes forget that I do like chick flicks and programs that men don't usually watch. And when fixing the vehicles, he is talking to me like I actually know what that thingamajiggy is supposed to do. How bout you other ladies?

I wonder if he would mind if you didn't cook dinner or do the laundry anymore? LOL. Although I think that it's really great that our guys are our best friends! Good for us I say!

I know exactly what you mean. We hang out together and are best friends and I am just as happy doing guy things as the next guy but sometimes I just want to watch a chick flick. I guess it is my own fault as we met when I was doing a job that was all men and I had to be one of the guys. He always seems shocked when I dress up and wear makeup like I am in drag or something! I guess it could be worse...

I get the same reaction when I get all done up too. It's as if they forgot what you really look like under the jeans and t-shirts. LOL

To a lesser extent he does certain things tha make me wonder. Like the lewd way he used to joe around with his brother, he sometimes think it's fun to be the same with me and I don't really like it. It's funny sometimes, but he doesn't know when to stop and it gets on my nerves. He also plays video games a LOT and expects me to know or care what he's doing. Now, I love video games myself, but I'm not very good at them and there are only certain ones that I like or am willing to learn, but he pushes the rest of them on me sometimes, too. Ah well.

This is too funny! My guy is the same way. One of the things that stands out is how he doesn't understand that girls like to look nice when going out. We'll plan to go out for dinner or something and he'll shower, throw on some clothes, brush his hair, and be ready to leave before it's dry. Then he wonders what is taking me so long. Even if I explain that I have to do my hair and make-up and get something nice on he just shrugs his shoulders and says I looked fine the way I was. And he actually asked me once why I needed to buy new jeans since he had a drawer full of his that would probably fit me! We don't have the car issues because he knows that I probably do know what the "thingamajiggy" does since our whole family pretty much revolves around the race cars but he does sometimes forget I'm a girl when it comes to strength. I can do most of the lifting and what-not he needs me to do but sometimes...like when he sat in the car to steer and asked if I could push it backwards (by myself, uphill)when reverse went out!
