I really liked it. He had me going, but my mind had this back in olden times. The helicopters at the end really ruined it for me. The Atlantis angle was a good one. Felt cheated when he left there. Wish he would have explored that more.
But you're right, up until it became anti-climatic for me, the style was great! So I enjoyed about 7/8 of the article.
What do other people think? I think a different ending and exploring Atlantis would have put the article up toward the top.

I think it would have been good if we saw more of Atlantis because it is such a mysterious place. But i like how the Bermuda Triangle took the ship from 'pirate days' to a fantasy land and then to today! I think it was a really cool plot and smarty written! :)

So you're taking the fogs as transporting to different places in time? To me, Atlantis actually existed long ago. So to me, exploring Atlantis would have been the treasure, and I think the Ship's Captain might have agreed with that.
I took it as transporting from place to place in the same time period, then suddenly we weren't in the same time period. Also, the reaction to modern things, I felt would have been different if transported to now.
But the dialogue in the beginning is great! The descriptions of everything in the first two scenes are wonderful. I could see everything and I was really there. It really is a "must read" and I hope you get lots of responses.

Yeah, I took the fog as something that transported them to the same place but at different times, so whatever's going on is from a different time. That's probably why there is a helicopter and the coast gaurd at the end.
I agree, I really like his details and descriptions/details! He's very skilled.
