With Zee's ICL landing big time and roping in big names like Brian Lara, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne, cricket may never be the same again . It's a big news not only for Indian but International Cricket scenario . What are your views about it? Is it for the better or ...??

I feel that it is really a very good thing to happen in indian cricket because it has been high time that BCCI has been enjoying a monopoly like situation here and earning huge bucks using the fans here and still not trying to do some good for the country except filling up their own coffers. They are also one of the most incompetent board I have ever seen. They are also one of the richest board around the world but still not able to develop the game and improve the teams’ performance, all they are interested is only money and nothing else. With the entry of ICL, I feel that this would have a big impact on bcci as they are signing up big names in cricket and this would only boost them to become a good competitor for the game in india. But this is just a start and we need to wait a lot to find out how successful they are and it depends on how well they are managed. Since kapil is there, I feel that it would give them a Boost. I also feel that even the current players should consider jumping there to at least improve the game. Overheard is that Saurav Ganguly might go over there soon. I feel that they should succeed well in their venture and turns out to be a very good competitor for BCCI and comes out victorious.

cricket is big bucks and ICL is giving BCCI some good competition for their money.Atleast they are trying to scare some professionalism into the selection issues as opposed to BCCI 's zonal policies and all those crap that BCCI is made of.I hope that is undone by ICL ,which will be a great service to the indian cricket playing faternity who are the ultimate losers in the politics that are played in selection boards.

Hi. Is there anything happening related to ICL but for big names being attached to it. Do you remember a couple or two, years ago PHL(premier hockey league) was established with almost the same aim but in hockey instead of cricket. What was the result: only a few die hard hockey fans know or notice it any more. Just hope that the same does not happen to the ICL. It is not about getting hype in the start and then loosing the intensity. The thrust for victory should be there.
