Yes, dried mangoes are very tangy and sour in taste and dry mango powder is also used in vegetables prepared by us for enhancing taste of cooked vegetables. I have not eaten dried pineapple or dried guave...... deepak

When I was a research assistant, we worked on the drying process of some tropical fruits..papaya, mango, pineapple, jackfruit, etc. Of those, I like dried mango the most. The flavor and the juiciness are still there even after drying. It is a really tedious process and yes, Cebu City has the best dried mango there is.

I am not to sure but I think we have them in the US but you can always use one of those things to dry them with I forget what they are called.. I know I am sorry.. I seen it on tv awhile back.. Basically what it does it dries your food but keeps all the nutrient's in the food.. I was to say a food dehydrator but I am not sure if that is the right name for it.. But than again I don't even know if they really work either..

It is a very delicious and uniquely Filipino delicacy indeed that we Filipinos are very proud of. Most that comes from Cebu usually bring that as a "Pasalubong" or gifts or souvenir item that they bring along. I am proud of this product and if I am given a chance to drop by Cebu I usually look for Dried Mangoes.

I first tasted a dried mango in MAy 2000 when we went to Cebu for our convention. It's really yummy and gummy. I brought home some packs and gave some to my officemates to have a taste of it.

No, I have only tried fresh mangoes. We don't have dried mangoes in the supermarket. I would like to taste some dried if they have some on the racks.
