hi everyone, not sure if you have heard of Blackle. http://www.blackle.com/
I think it's a great step for internet users to adopt.
In January 2007 a blog post titled Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year proposed the theory that a black version of the Google search engine would save a fair bit of energy due to the popularity of the search engine. Google implemented it, and there has been 114,081.516 Watt hours saved so far.
I've replaced my homepage which used to be the white screen version! this certainly beats all those Saving Gaia concerts that used so much electricity and which people burnt so much petrol driving to attend, don't you think?
