Now a days with the sidekick, everyone is text messaging. As opposed to emailing. But, I personally do not like to text. I only use it as an option when I can't get through to a person. I rather call someone on the phone than text. What about you and why?

I would much much rather txt someone than talk on the phone. That way I can take my time to respond to something and they can take their, and they isn't an awkward getting off the phone silence

Well, personally, I prefer call than the text. For one thing, texting is quite tiring and hassle one for me. I really don't like it because my fingers hurt after I text, . And in texting the words are very limited and I can't tell all the things I wanted to tell him/her because it was too limited. So I really prefer call on that way, I can talk for as long as I want and can tell him/her all the things I wanted to say.

I prefer to send emails, because firstly it is free. Secondly, time we call them may be suitable for them. But as for emails, them can read at any time they are free. So, unless very urgent, I prefer to use emails.

I personally would probably prefer to call someone over texting them simply because it takes less time and gets right to the point. If I have to talk to someone that I don't really want to, then I usually text because it gives me more time to come up with an appropriate answer versus right on the spot.

There is'nt anything quite like talking to the person you are communicating with.Text messaging seems so impersonal and mechanical.Especially if it's to someone that you love.!!!!lol.

I don't even have the text service on my phone. I honestly don't see how people can actually do that. I have trouble as it is, typing on a laptop. I agree it's just easier to call the person and if you don't get through, just takes a second to leave a message on there voice mail.

True, that would come in handy. But only person I talk to, sad to say on a cell is my husband. So it's something we don't need.

Here in our country text is widely use, we are called the texting capital of teh world almost all of the people here texting each other. For some its very usefull specially if someone is a businessman/woman. Personally i prefer call than text but the your load will be spent immediately so i text also.I called by phone if its really urgent, sinece text usually takes time to received , now that there were so many using the system.

I don't even bother with texting and I'm not even sure that my cell plan includes texting, so I would end up with a huge bill. My sister got got up in texting and ran up a nearly $400 bill! I can't afford that to happen to me. I think most people I know use the phone or email anyway. I honestly talk to more people through regualr telephone conversations than email.

I prefer to call a person rather than message. On the phone one can talk leisurely and also can feel the emotions of the other person, which one cannot feel in messaging.

My vote is with u on this issue as i dont think anything else can substitute for a face to face talk. But when u cant get to them the next best thing is to call them up.text can make a miscommunication more times than not.so i prefer calling up.

Text can cause alot of miscommunication. People can imply what you write in so many ways. As oppose when you talk to someone in person, body language and context can give a person better meaning.

I prefer talking to people face to face, next comes calling them, I find text too impersonal, I like to see or hear a person.

for me it depend on what information that i want to give, if it just simple answer it better for me just to give some text, but if it request a lot of information i will call for it, if i dont have a credit then i use yahoo messenger :) a least that people have something device to be contact.

when i was in the philippines where i was using a prepaid account, i seldom call people..and thats only during emergencies. But when i came here in denmark, i purchased an installment phone with free call and free text to same network; free 1 hour call to other networks everymonth - so, whats the use of those free stuffs if i wont use it? lol.. and the easiest and fastest way to get through a person is to call him/her, so now, i would prefer to call than to text, no matter how nonsense would be the reason why i want to get through with the other person.
