My son uses one when he is sleeping at night. So at least the diaper cost is less now. Hopefully that he can get rid of it completely in the future.

My son is 17 months, and it really does change from day to day, but I would say that he use between 4 and 6 diapers a day.

I think your baby is quite big enough, rite. How old is he? Mine is only 10 month and he has to wear it everytime he goes to bed coz if not he will awake in the middle of his sleep if its wet...

My baby must be a lot yonger than yours and the other responders' babies. My youngest is 8 1/2 months and uses 8-10 a day. My two year old has sensitive skin and needs to be changed every time he wets so he uses about that many also, more sometimes depending on how much he drinks.

Out of curiousity what do you put on him all day then? And why don't you like using diapers? I've never heard of that in a baby so young.

I just feel so pitty that he has to wear it all day, coz diapers are thicker than trousers especially when he already pees even once. I always put just trousers when he is awake and I also take him to pee to bathroom to train him actually actually....

My boy is only 10 1/2 months now. He doesnt use diapers all the actually, only when he goes to bed and nap. I never want him to wear all day. Just pitty to see him wearing it all the time.....

My daughter is 18 months old and she uses up 4 to 5 diapers a day, including the one she wears at bedtime. She wears a medium size diaper that I think she's almost outgrown. I sure just hope it's normal for her age to use up that number of diapers a day.

Its ok actually. It depends on how many times your baby pee or poop. So relax. :D But I guess you should try train her to pee in toilet.

my son uses about 4 diapers in a day when i'm not home. on the weekends he uses about 2 i use cloth diapers during daytime and disposable at night. though i prefer him to run around "bare butt" and he tells me now when he has to "pee" he's 16 months old and we practice EC part time. when we work (i'm a nanny) we do use the diapers because they have carpeting and i don't want any accidents.

him looking at his pants is a way of "telling" people will start EC as early as 6 weeks old. babies do have ways of communicating and it's up to us to pay attention to their cues.

Actually I have seen it once on tv about EC. Its kinda like a class for babies. But there is nothing like this still in my country I guess... But I will absolutely try my best to teach him myself. Thanks :D

Actually my boy is only 10 months old and he cant tell or show it when he wants to pee or not. But I just take it to bathroom rountinely so he can pee in there. We never do any EC practicing actually, but if he do pee on his pants I will know coz he will look at his pants while he peeing lately.

I think my daughter uses 4-6 a day, she has 1 over night, then she has 4 or 5 during the day, it just depends on how often she goes :) Some days she'll use 6 & others she'll only use 4, i check her fairly often & don't change her if the nappy is clean - obviously!!! Although, she's not a tiny baby any more, she's almost 14 months old so you kind of expect her not to go through as many!

violette...what you do is called elimination communication (EC) i also practice this part time and it works wonderful to know your childs body language.

I do train my boy to pee at the bathroom actually. I take too the bathroom and hold him so he can pee in there. I just to understand as time goes by that he has to pee at the bathroom not always on the diapers...

My baby(2 1/3 month) consumes 2 disposable diapers in 24 hours and about 1 dozen of washable diapers. But it also depends if she pees a lot or make a poop. And if I'm not in the mood to go change her everytime she pees when I she's wearing washable diapers, she uses up to 5 disposable ones.

I never use washable diapers. Your baby pee alot at that age. And its usual. Mine too when he was that age..
