a kids birthday party on my birthday

i love doing something with my daughter alone for my birthday cause she is my life. i always hated my birthday to begin with until she came along and it made it a little better. anyway, her little friend is turning 3 and the grandmother planned an all day birthday thing for the day of my birthday and invited us to go celebrate the little girls b-day. she came to my daughter's b-day last month and i don't want to say no. not sure what to do. any suggestions, do i go to the little girls b-day or celebrate my b-day with my daughter. if i go to the little girls i can't leave early cause they are having it out of town and asked if i go if i can drve other people too

This is a difficult one. Maybe you could talk to the grandmother and get the other people to get a lift with someone else so you can leave early and spend some time just with your daughter. Or maybe you could spend the day before or day after as a special day with your daughter. Just a couple of suggestions.

we ended up staying all day at the little girl's party and my daughter and i went out for supper and a movie the next day.
