Veteran's Memorial Levee

After the daughters wedding on Monday the wife & I drove around the City of Hastings MN sightseeing. Along the Mississippi River we found this Levee. It's a Memorial Levee honoring all who served in the Nations Armed Services. It's also dedicated to the memory of those that also gave their lives. Their are other smaller plaques along side this Memorial also showing the wars and their dates. This was dedicated in 1981 so the Guklf War doesn't have a plaque yet. Anyhow I just wanted to share this as well as thank all the Service men and women of the many countries fighting for the freedom of the Iraq people. Thanks all.

This is great- Thanks for sharing- I love looking at memorials- And I think it’s a great thing to do- Honoring the men and women who fight for our freedom- We have a Big plaque in my hometown with all the names of local people who served in the armed forces- My aunt and my brother are on it- My daughter loves to go and look at it-

Great photo as usual. I also want to thank all the service men for fighting for our freedom. I also want to give a thumbs up to all the family members of the enlisted men and women. If it was not for the families the inlested men and women could not do their jobs.

Memorials are a very appropiate way to remember those who served one's country. It is a nice idea to have a levee, with lots of memorials for all wars.
We have something similar along North Tce, our main centre street in Adelaide.

Yes I loved seeing this and had to take photos of it and all the plaques. Here's the one for WW1.
