Anybody know about these E-bay stores? It seems that about 75% of auctions on the site are now from stores that people are creating. Any idea how to go about it? I'm sure it's not all of their own stuff as they have multiple quantities of the same thing.

For an ebay store you just have to sign up for a store. It costs about $15 a month. You can set different categories for your merchandise and the listing fees are much lower than the standard auction fees. It's definitely worth it if you have a lot of things you want to sell and don't want to go through listing then re-listing over and over again until it sells. I had a store for awhile for sterling silver jewelry that I bought wholesale. When it said that I had multiple quantities of something, it's because I got more than one of the same item in the same size. Daisy rings were a good seller for me. I paid $2.50 for them and sold them for $4-5 plus $1.50 shipping.

Great! Thanks for the information, it's very helpful. I don't have that much stuff but if I do make it there I'll open the store.

Some of them buy products in bulk from other sellers. One might buy a lot of 50 like items, and sell them individually for instance. They get a discount for buying a larger quantity, then raise the selling price slightly for the individual items. If they do this with several items, they can have a good variety of things to sell. If you can't afford to start out with such a large quantity, look for smaller quantities. Some things are available in smaller lots. Make sure that whatever you choose to sell is a popular enough item that you will be able to sell yours, or you may end up with boxes of inventory sitting around your house.

I'm wondering about this too. I always (pretty much) have something selling on ebay and I was wonering if it was worth it to have a store. I haven't researched it to much on ebay because I wanted to check here first for other people's opinions about it.
