My son just had his 1st birthday and it seems ever since he has just decided that he can totally feed himself. The problem is he doesn't quite have those skills yet as far as using a spoon. So Now I feel like he just isn't getting enough food at all and i don't want to be nerotic about it. does anyone have any suggestions about how to help him get enough food or experiences they have had themselfs?

It is all a learning experience. No matter how messy it gets. Let him try and feed himself, its all a learning process, he will get it in time..Just let him practice..Its fun to watch also, Just dish up a bit more because most of it dosnt end up in the mouth..

Vegetables are good, in little pieces, meat also , in small pieces, fruit. Anything really. I have a 10 month old and he eats everything that we do, just make sure that the pieces are small enough for him to chew on...
