The reason I bring up this subject of sugar-free chocolates is, they are kind of hard to find in most stores, and the variety is slim. However, they taste just as good as regular chocolates, but have 0 grams of sugar. Why don't more people buy these so the companies will produce more? Come on, folks, start eating sugar-free chocolates!

While sugar-free chocolates and other candies can be quite tasty... they also have a very laxative effect on a lot of people. That's quite a turn off for someone who doesn't need it and doesn't have any medical need to avoid sugar.

I think you are right. Sugar-free chocolate just doesn't sound appetizing. But in actuality, they taste just fine. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference with your eyes closed. I only eat, at the most, one small sugar-free chocolate per day. If you do eat more, then I imagine the malitol or sorbitol could clean one out. However, it's not necessary to eat that much. Especially if you can't have any glucose, fructose, sucrose, or any other ...ose, one small piece of sugar-free chocolate tastes mighty fine!

I've tried sugar-free chocolate and I have to admit it tastes pretty much the same to me as regular chocolate..I think that people are just afraid to try it just because they are used to the way the regular kind tastes...I mean think about it, sugar-free chocolate doesn't sound like fun..it sounds like its defeating the purpose of having chocolate in the first place..lol
