Professional Pictures

Hi. Every year our childrens school has photos and every year we get them, they get to have a class photo and they get to have one together or singerly if we choose that, which we can also as parents, choose the background or nature of the photo...

My daughter is now 13 months old & i have only had her photos done professionally once, i just don't see a point in spending HEAPS of money on photos, i am quite capable of taking them myself & although the professional ones look really nice, they cant capture the energy or livliness of the child :) We only ended up buying 1 photo out of the whole collection coz it was just going to cost far too much. I have so many photos of my daughter that really show her charcter that i have taken myself so i guess it's entirely up to the parent but for me, it's not a big deal - i may get 1 a year done, maybe less often than that. The only one i plan on doing every year until she's 6 or 7 maybe is the annual photo with Father Christmas just because then it's a nice photo, to remember the holidays & to show how much she's changed in 12 months!

we took our kids at 3 months, 6 months and then at a year. and then every year after that to get their picture with the number beside them. we usually spend around $50-100. it just depends on how they turn out. sometimes they do a pose that is just too cute to resist lol.
