It's such an exciting time to see him walking! It's two days before his first birthday! How old were your kids when they first started walking?

Awww, bless ya hunni. It sure is an exiting time. From here on things will go fast. Now he found a quick way to transport himself from one area to another and he is ready to take on the surrounding world. I don't know when my girl started walking, i was not around at the time. :S

Thanks Kim! :) Yes, my little stinker is going to get into so much trouble, haha! I'm sure you would have been there for your daughter during her early years if you could have, the important thing is you are around now and able to be there for her. :)

Congratulations! Amstardam!:-) I am really happy for you and your family especially your child that he made a leap in his life before his first birthday. I hope he starts running soon too:-) My son is 6 months old now. He already started sitting on his own when he was 4 months old which is a little early and we certainly enjoyed the fact that he can. He is very active and we hope that he will also start walking way before the average kids do. I wish you and your family best of luck in your family life together and bliss of life:-)

we started giving him solids at the age of 4 months but he loves to eat solids more than the milk!, I don't know why though?:-) That's interesting, our son also was rolling from a very early age, even when he was less than a month old and we were surprised to see that in that early age. He is very active and he has already started trying crawling for a month now, he is 6 months now. Thanks for your wishes Amsterdam!, I wish you the same:-)

Hi Kamran! It's so fun when they start sitting up! Have you started giving him solids yet? My son LOVES to eat. He eats more at a meal than I do, haha! My son is very picky about what he chooses to do. He rolled over a few times at 9 days old and then never really did it again. So while all the other kids were rolling over the place, he just sat there and tried to crawl. haha. He gets one thing down and automatically wants to move onto the next. Thank you Kamran. I wish you and your family the best too!

Congratulations Amstardam - that is great news. I think maddy started walking a little earlier than that only because he was so nosey to get into things I think LOL I can't wait to hear more stories on what things he is going to get into now hehe!

That's so fun! It's amazing how varied the range is for walking for kids. I think my son is right smack in the middle.

both of our girls started walking about a month after their 1st birthdays. our second one might have walked sooner, but she had a problem with her hip and was in a brace till about 9 months old. our son was due 2 days ago...i'm anxious to see if he'll do better than his sisters lol even though its quite a few months away.

I've heard girls do things earlier than boys but I don't know if that's true. Two days late? Oy! Hope you're doing okay with the summer heat. I was two days late and to have a c-section...my son was breech. He was born a year ago yesterday! You've probably had your son by now. Congrats!

haha, my son has never really has a "boom" moment! He is so careful! It's so funny to see him walk. We'll put him on his feet and he'll stand there and try to take a few steps and then slowly crouch down until his bottom is on the floor and then sit down and get on his knees to crawl. He never falls! Yesterday we put a piece of cake in front of him for his birthday. We were expecting him to dive right in with both hands but instead he very carefully (and every so clean) picked it up piece by piece and put it into his mouth. He doesn't like to get dirty, haha!
