I'm on a bit of a writing kick at the moment and have seen Helium mentioned on a number of occassions. I checked out their site and it seems good but they are pretty vague on how much you can actually earn there. Can anyone give me an idea of what you can realistically expect to earn.

I've been on Helium since February, I think, and I haven't quite made $15 yet. There were several months where I didn't have time to post, which has definitely slowed me down. Now that I see that there's a contest dealing with tattoos and piercings, though, I think I've got something to write a few articles about. :)

No, no, just a friendly competition. :) And honestly, reading through the topics, I suspect I will be writing about piercings more than tattoos.

The other way to make money with Helium, is to submit all your articles to AC as non-exclusive. The pay goes down so little that it is not worth giving them exlusive rights. Then you can turn around and post the same thing on helium to get more bang from your writing buck.

I know with AC you have the option of submitted articles as exclusive or non-exclusive. Many, many, many writers select non-exclusive and put the articles up on Helium as well. The only info I've been able to find on Helium about rights, is that the work must be your own (no plagarism) and must have the rights to it... which you do if you've put it up on AC as non-exclusive.
