Did you know that whales can get sunburned?

I was watching the discovery channel the other day and they were talking about how some pilot whales kept getting stranded every year on the shores of a beach somewhere. Well, needless to say they also brought to our attention that the reason they are so easily stranded is because when they get beached they become disoriented. The reason that they become disoriented is because they get sunburned from being in the shallow water and become dehydrated. Am I the only one that didn't know that whales could get sunburned?
