Do you play an instrument, or are you like me, and can barely plan, and regret not keeping it up?

I studied piano and guitar when I was younger...but like you did not keep it up. I do regret it sometimes...especially the guitar. I don't know whether drumming counts as a musical instrument...but I do have some drums..(Native, bongo and Irish) and I love to put on some music and sing and drum. There is a drumming group that I plan to attend in Fall. There is something 'magical' that happens when you sit in a room with a group of drummers and allow yourself to be carried to another place within the vibrations of the drumming. So that is the extent of my musical abilities.

hi! I can play the piano. actually, i'm a classical pianist. i play the piano around 4 hours a day. it is tiring, but it makes me happy. i play piano music from baroque, classical, romantic, 20th century music etc. some of my favorite composers are mozart, beethoven, liszt, chopin, gershwin, rachmaninoff and a lot more.

Hi bonbon664. I never played any musical instrument but lately I have started learning the guitar. My husband knows how to play so he is trying to teach me. I must say that I find it hard to learn, maybe because I am not young anymore? I know that when we are young we learn faster. Take care bonbon664.

My husband can strum a guitar but he prefer an acoustic guitar, he also has a voice. When I was in high school I have a passion of playing a guitar. I have memorize some chords but as I grew older the passion diminished and my fingers has stiffened.

My factor seems to be time...with the way I am I need 60 hours in a day to do everything I want...I grew up in an environment that was musical...listened to a lot of classical music as a kid cause of my mom...that and the Beatles....LOL--but I always seemed to have the gift of "hearing" music...and I studied so much music in college I could have practically been a music major...In junior high school I studied violin, then in high school learned recorder and guitar...I still have my guitar hanging on the wall now...collecting dust alas....I always WANT to get back into...now if there were as I said 60 hours in a day...Would love to learn flute too!!
