I would like to know what everyone thinks. I would like to know how many pets are too many pets. I have 4 dogs, 6 cats (3 inside and 3 outdoor), 3 4 week old kittens, 2 snakes (1 14 foot, 1 4 foot), 7 hampsters, 1 mamma gerble with 5 baby gerbles, about 35 rats (they was to be food for the snake, but I don't have the heart to feed them to the snake. Thank God the snake eats raw chicken), One of my baby rats is hairless, and 1 fish, well in the house I only have one fish. I have a pond outside with about 12 gold fish. I try to give my animals away, but then I list them in an ad I end up deleting the ad. Thay are my babys. How many is too many? I do have a vet who loves to see me.

As long as you have room for them, can afford to maintain them (health, food, ect) and have time to care for them, then I don't think you've got too many. You have too many if you have no room for them or can't afford them or have no time for them. But as long as they are happy and you're happy then it's all good.

I have a 5 bedroom home and one of the rooms is just for my babys. I don't work outside of my home so I have alot of time for them. Rats are easy to take care of because they eat cat food. Anytime I make dinner they get my leftovers and the trimmings. I love my babys.

I had no idea rats ate cat food, seems a little ironic, lol. Well it sounds like you have plenty of room for them and time so I wouldn't worry about having too many.

Well I would say you can never have "too many" providing you have the room for them, and the money to give them proper care and attention, which you obviously have. I have 5 cats - used to have 6 until my Caspar was run over last year:-(( I also feed a stray who is slowly getting used to the house, so soon I will have 6 again! This world is full of ill-treated, unwanted, stray animals of all kinds, so the more people like you around, the better!

I am sorry to hear about Caspar, I do know the pain of loosing a baby (pet). I am happy that someone dose care about stray animals. My rats was to be food for the snakes but I dont have the heart to feed them to the snakes. I had rabbits, but I gave them to my mom.
