How to control the hot tempered people

I had seen some hot tempered persons, their temper is uncontrollable by themselves. But these people may get enemies more who see this as a negative aspect. But if their hot temper is well managed I hope they could be having a better relationship. Still to control oneself and have a balanced mind is considered to one of the best quality of human beings. But I do hardly seen hot tempered after my college days way back in 90s.
