Trip Down Memory Lane: Does Anyone Remember the Show "Wishbone"?

I was replying to a discussion about how my one cat, Bobbity used to be entranced by the children's PBS show "Wishbone"--It was a cute series that aired between the years 1995 to 2001, and the premise was that it was a show to entice children and get interested in and about many of the classic stories and was often told from the viewpoint of the "star" of the show, Wishbone, a Russell terrier dog.
I don't know who enjoyed that show more...me or my cat, cause as soon as the show's theme song came on...Bobbity my cat would come racing over to the TV and try to chase the dog as he ran about.
If you remember the show...do you remember your favorite episode? There were a lot I loved, one of my favorites was the episode about "Robin Hood"

i remember him.i think he had a dog tag with a lil bone too?i don't remember a particular episode,but i thought the dog was talented.

Ah, yes, pyewacket, that is one of the joys of being a grandma. I got to watch all of the children's shows and enjoy them along with the kids. Wishbone was one of my favorites, too. I think the Robin Hood episode was also one of my favorites. I was also crazy about Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? Fortunately, now that I'm a gr.grandma, I'm doing it all over again, LOL. Now it's Barney, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dragon Tales. I even get on the computer and play the games with them when they come over. I really enjoy them.

The Wishbone series was one of those I taped..and I haven't watched them in awhile...just might do that and see if it has an effect on my two cats like it did with Bobbity

Yes, I remember Wishbone. I watched it regularly, although I was "too old" for it. I loved seeing the classics get reenacted. And Wishbone was such a cute dog. My favorite episode was the Joan of Arc one. Also, I liked the Tale of Two Cities episode. It was pretty good how they kept the drama in those stories, considering that they had a dog playing some of the roles.

I can honestly say I used to watch that show all the time, but I don't remember one episode. I remember my brother and I would watch it but I don't remember when. That's terrible, my memory is slipping away from me. I do recall thinking the dog was so adorable and I wish I had one just like him!!

I only remember it being on tv. The kids I babysat watched that show. But I never really paid much attention to it. I know they loved it.

I loved that show when I was a little girl... I used to come home from school and watch every afternoon. I learned that basics of alot of books that helped me along in school. Loved that dog also reminded so much of my old pet snoopy how I still miss.. :(

i used to watch Wishbone when i was around 7-9 years old and it was one of my favorites. I remember there was one when wishbone was in a spider suit for some african tale episode, kind of wierd. I really liked the one about the time machine because the monsters actually scared me back then, and also the one about the Dr. jekel and mr. hide. If i remember right the dog's name was soccer. now i have my jack russel terrier named zoe.
