Its an online group of people from your area that basically offer the stuff they wanna get rid of to others in the area. Like a swap kinda. Your not allowed to charge money for your stuff with it. The one in my area is called Lincolnrealcycle.com. Do any of you partcipate in th is kinda thing? Do you know if you have one in your area? If you do what have you gotten from it? I've gotten a dresser set from there... it was areally nice set too. Just wondering.....

I am an active moderator for a freecycle group in NC. I love it! I have found new homes for a couch, end tables, twin-size bedding, doghouses, and jars. I have found a couch, new drapes and free cat supplies on this wonderful site!

I love freecycle! I've been a member for a couple of years now. I've never taken up on somebodys deal, but I have put up a lot of things. You never know what somebody can use, lol. One gal asked for old blankets, towels, etc. I had a bunch that I was going to throw out as they were old and stained. She had an animal rescue shelter and was looking for old stuff to use for bedding. Whoever started freecycle had one great idea there!

I'm an active member of my local Freecycle. I have given lots of stuff and also gotten lots of stuff from it. I've received lots of toys and clothes for my kid and household items. I've given toys, clothes, household items, shoes, you name it! I think it's a great idea. As long as everyone honors the system. I do know of some members who re-sell what they get from Freecycle for free. Sometimes they do get caught and are banned from these sites.

Here in Australia we have freecycle as well. I am a member, but i in a small community away from where it mainly is. But last year i lived in a different area, which was quite big. I got some good baby stuff for my niece. Also gave a bit away, which was really good. I think its a great idea Best wishes to you, tiffany

I absolutely love freecycle! I got a bike off of the site. When I first moved to where I live now I didn't have a car. I posted that I needed a bike and within a day I got a response. You have to be quick if you see something you need because stuff goes quick there. I really don't need any more junk so I haven't look on there for a long time. I've seen people give away boats and cars (not sure of the condition). I think it's great. Between Freecycle and Craigslist I would check those out first before I went and bought something. I like to save money any way I can.
