Its been 7 years so far for me. I plan on doing this as long as I can, if not all my life.

I'm nearly 60 years old, and I became a vegetarian when I was 19, cold turkey, and I haven't eaten meat since. I was fortunate, as I learned to cook East Indian food right away, and the way it's prepared helped me not ever want to eat meat. Mostly I became vegetarian for spiritual reasons, and this helps me not to ever "fall off the wagon" so-to-speak. It's hard to be a vegetarian in this country (USA), as this is a mostly steak and potatoes country. I had to educate myself, and learn how to work with exotic spices. My children were raised vegetarians, also, and they are all grown, now, and still are for the most part. They eat fish sometimes. I do eat dairy products, not alot, but some. Good luck in your endeavor, you can do it if you learn to cook and you learn where to look for the right foods to fulfill all of your nutrition needs, which you can do even with a vegetarian diet. Also reinforce your endeavor by reading spiritual scripture from vegetarian societies (like India). These societies are vegetarians for many other reasons other than health reasons. Good luck, once again!

I am mostly a vegetarian and I start it last 3 months. I am mostly a vegetarian and I love to eat more vegetables rather than meat. And I know that eating more vegetables food are more times to strength our life and more life. And we have a healthy body.

I'm a new vegan (8 months) and I've never felt better. My life has changed. I am more aware of what I eat and as a result I feel so good about myself and my body. I don't ever plan to go back to eating animals.
