I know a lot of you write for Associated Content, and I've been giving it a shot myself but without success, until NOW...hehee I decided to write an article about "The Magical Attraction of J.K. Rowling"...I submitted it on July 25th and today when I checked....It's published!! Yahoooooo Here's the article if you'd like to read it....I already have a few other ideas for articles to kick around with and write http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/326866/the_magical_attraction_of_jk_rowlings.html

Congratulations Pyewacket and welcome to the club. I just read your article, rated it and subscribed to you. You're off to a good start on AC. That was a very well written and well thought out piece.

Thank you irisheyes... ;-) I wrote that pretty "raw" too, without much editing...looking at it again, I saw where I might have improved it...but typical...we artists are our own worse critics...LOL

Congratulations ... my daughter has started writing for associated content, when you are published does that mean that you get paid for your article? I believe some of hers got published and she didn't get paid and other she did get paid, all very confusing to me. Congratulations!!

Well, I haven't gotten paid yet for it, will soon--maybe your daughter didn't ask for some of the articles for payment consideration..if you don't one naturally doesn't get paid And thanks...now I'm all revved up to write more..have about four more ideas kicking about to write...hehee

Yes mam. It is always working 24-7's. One idea that I think would fly is writing about living in Manhattan in NY.

I've just read your article, and it looks well written. I would say that judging from this that you could have a future as an author, if you can find the right material and subject. J.K. got over £50,000 for each page she wrote as royalties on the first day of the book being on sale. It would be nice if you could get even 1/100 of that, but unless you can get a really popular story then that could be unlikely, still some people can earn that amount, so keep trying. (ps if my encouragement does help you make it to the top, I would be happy to get an autographed copy of your first book.)

This is the first non-fiction kind of writing I've done--I usually do write fiction though from anywhere from fantasy genre short stories to historical fiction....I have gotten some of my short stories published with Minas Tirith the Journal of The American Tolkien Society...and I felt great about that!! I'll keep you in mind...and you can be first in line for my book signing..hehee

Congrats! I have not ventured here yet- I mean associated content- sure I have checked out alot of great articles there but have never signed up or submitted any- I'm planning on it- How long did it take for you to get 1 published? I mean how many did you write prior to getting one published.

You go girl! Let me be among the first to congratulate you, pyewacket. It seems that you are multi-talented. That is wonderful news. I have signed up with AC, but have not posted anything as of yet. I will be keeping your link so that I can read your article as soon as I catch up on some of my backed up e-mail. Again, good for you!

Congrats!! I remember the feeling of getting published and paid by AC my first time about 6 months ago. I was so happy I wrote a ton of articles and made a little bit of money. I was just happy making money online and getting published. Now I'm a little dry on ideas but they come and they go. Good luck with your future writing! :)

I read your article and it was great! Yeah it does suck that they don't pay you for short stories. That is why I have never submitted any of mine because I am hoping to get published and make some really good money off of mine. I am in the middle of trying my hand at a novel. I do like writing articles for AC but my main love of writing is short stories and poems. My main love of short stories is horror and that is what I am best at. Anyway keep up the great work! :) P.S Here is my CP page if you would like to take a look. http://www.associatedcontent.com/cwilson26 I already added you to my favorites! I think I will subscribe to you too! Happy writing!!! :)
