Please share your ways of making your way on GAF. Some people have a hard time starting out because they are having to compete with very experienced members on there... you know the people with HIGH ratings. LOL It can be terrifying for people and it can even make people give up quickly. I have only had 1 job on there for 100 bucks. I'm getting close to getting another one though. It's really hard to talk people into trusting you with no feedback! So what would/did you do?

I have been a member of GetaFreelancer since January and have been doing regular freelance work. There could be a lot of ways to be successful at GetaFreelancer. I am not saying that I am an authority on the subject but I do have some suggestions: 1.) Make sure your bid would be part of the first 10 to 15 bids for the project. Clients would usually just check the first 10 to 15 bids and skip the remaining bids. As a personal rule, I do not bid for projects with more than 20 bidders already eventhough I know I can do the job. But I did won a bid when I was the 95th one to bid for the project. 2.) Make sure tho write something about yourself and your project proposal in the PMB. Everytime I bid I automatically write a cover letter and proposal in the PMB. By doing this the client would know that you are serious about the project and did not just bid for the sake of bidding 3.) If you have a sample of a similar task that you did before I would advise that you attach it in the PMB for the clients reference. Knowing that you already did a similar project would be a plus for you These are the things I do when I bid for the project. You could go ahead and try them out. If you need some sample work you can go ahead and let me know and I would be glad to provide you one.
