Well my best friend is my sister, she is 2 years older than I am.We have always done everything together and told one another all things. I moved from pennsylvania to Arkansas 36 years ago. My sister moved here several years later. We have been through so much together.I have been disabled for 22 years and have had a lot of surgurys, she has always been by myside, being my nurse, and care giver. We helped raise one anothers children. But she had to move 300 miles away 2 years ago, I miss her very much. We talk on the phone at least once a day, sometimes more. I go to see her as often as I can, but it just is not the same as being with her every day.

I've known her since the day she was born. I'm talking about my mother. I didn't always think of her as my best friend, but she is. She supports, but will point out when I'm wrong. She is wise in her advice, and doesn't mind if I don't take it. I encourge her on days she feels just awful. It's a give and take relationship that I not only value, I cherish.

I've known my best friend since 8th grade. So it's been about 18 years.
It's funny, actually. We hated each other and then became best friends. She knew that I had a "habit" of dropping out of touch with friends when I moved away. When I moved from California to New Jersey, she wouldn't let me do that. Even if I went 3 months without writing or calling her, she would keep writing to me until I wrote back.
