Today I was trying to open up a bag of peanuts, so my daughter could have her afternoon snack. And, after five minutes of tugging at the plastic bag, I had to sit down and give up. Eventually, the bag came open and ripped almost down the center, but that was after some major intense effort. Guess I'm really not Super-woman after all!
Either those people have made bags tougher to open or I'm just getting weaker! When did that happen?

I think the bags are getting tougher for sure. I even have trouble opening up bags of chips too LOL

My kid loves Doritos and some days it is like pulling teeth to get those Dorito bags open. Who do they think the ideal customer for such a bag would be? Incredible Hulk? He-man, perhaps! Certainly not the average suburban mom.

I sympathise!! I always struggle with peanut bags exerting more and more force until the bag gives way in one violent burst and peanuts spill all over the floor! Very frustrating. I have also noticed that some are harder to open that others...perhaps try another brand....or start lifting some weights!!!

Some of the plastic bags are really tough to open, even the ones with the little cut in to start you off. I can never open one without using a knife, scissors, or my teeth on it! lol.
Of course, you're Superwoman! Never let it be said that you aren't. Brightest Blessings, my friend. x

We don't ever buy peanuts in the bag, but I've noticed that with other bags. We just buy the peanuts in the can, the foil lid is easier to get off. :)
If I'm trying to open a bag and have a hard time, I just do like someone else said, and use scissors to get stuff open. Or if my husband is home, I have him to open the stuff.
I do think that the bags are getting harder to open, though. I don't think I'm getting weaker, because in a lot of other ways I feel like I'm stronger now than I used to be.

I have spilled the contents of a plastic bag before also. That's when I switched to using a scissors. Even cereal boxes have bags that are sometimes very hard to open. I often end up tearing them way down low so I can't seal them up very well.
