We just spent 4 years living in the south, and grits is one southern dish we could never acquire a taste for. I know a lot of people love them, though. Thanks for your answer to my discussion.

A good country breakfast to go with the bacon is fried eggs once over, hash browns, pancakes with real maple syrup. Now I am hungry and have to raid the fridge.

By "hunks of old cheese" are you meaning the kind with the green stuff growing on it? That's what came into my mind when I read your answer. :O)

Yumm! Depends on what time of day it is. In the morning I would have apple or banana pancakes with my bacon. At lunch I'd have a bacon-lettuce-tomato sandwich. For supper I might make a quiche with bacon and spinach and provalone cheese. But please don't put bacon on my hamburger, thanks.

I will put nothing on the plate, but I will put the bacon on a piece of toast with melted cheese. Mmmmmmmm.
