Do you think joining the discussion on mylot can improve our english skills?

My mother tongue is not english. My purpose here is not only wanting to make friends, but also improving my english skills. So does some of the friends on mylot. What do you think of it? It's a quick way to improve the english skills?

I think it can help improve your ability to converse in English. I wouldn't rely on it to improve your spelling or grammar abilities, as even those of us who speak English as our native tongue don't always pay attention to spelling & sentence structure when posting here.
