I can't say they are toys, but yes I do keep some stuffed toys like tigers and bears in my car on the back dashboard.. Other than that I keep cushions on the rear seat of my car, and have one bird hanging on the night rear view mirror.. I don't keep any electric toys like you in my car, as there is no need of them as there are no kids in my household...

Toys in the car is sometimes cool. However, dangerous toys should not be placed into the car. Toys is not always for children. Toys in the car is considered as decorative material, for decoration purpose.

Yes, I always keep toys in the car for the kids. I don't like for them to be stuck somewhere in line or something and not have something to do. I also always take the DVD player with us if we are going very far so that they can watch the movies that they want to.

I have a teddy bear & a doll in the car for my daughter, my Mum keeps a Tigger rattle in her car that hangs from the 'Jesus Bar' :)
I have never had a problem with leaking batteries (i think that takes quite a while) but i don't think i'd bother with battery powered toys in the car, my daughter sleeps most of the time anyway!
When she gets a little older we might get rid of the teddy in the car & have something else but usually she doesn't play with them for very long anyway, she's more interested in what's going on outside the car, or she'll sleep!

NOPE. The only thing that I let the kids carry with them is their leapfrogs. They each have one and I let them take those along and thats all. No way is my vehicle going to be full of toys, LOL

I have started keeping little things in the car for him. It's so much easier now that he is in a front facing car seat and i can easily hand him stuff. He likes to look out the car window for the most part though. I think that if we had a longer drive, he would probably want a toy to play with though. We may be going on a 2 hour car drive next month to see my uncle, so I'll make sure i have some toys for him then.

We keep a small basket of cars in the floor board of the backseat for the 2 year old. If his brothers want a toy, they usually just bring some from the house and then often those get left in the car. Sometimes the car looks like a toy store in the backseat! If we go on a trip, we take the portable DVD player and a bag of toys, coloring books, crayons, water bottle for each boy [except the 2 year old, no crayons for him yet!].

I always have toys and books in the car to entertain my toddler. I also have an extra pair of clothes and diapers, just in case. Now that I got a newborn, I really need an organizer to add more stuff in the car. I also have lots of CD for toddlers song. For long trips, I am planning to get a portable DVD for my toddler because she will be entertained with it.

We have a stuffed monkey in case our toddler wants to take a nap in the car. We also have a few cars that he can play with in a basket in his floorboard. Since he's still little, there is plenty of room to keep a basket in his floorboard, since his feet don't come close to reaching anyway. He does have to have one of us to hand him the toys, though. If we are going very far, and my husband isn't with us, I put something underneath his basket so he can just reach in and take the toys out when he wants to.
I try to change the toys out every couple of weeks when I clean out the car. The stuffed monkey always stays, though, because he won't take a nap without it (he has an identical one in the house).
