Have you ever been to an Air Show with stunt pilots?

How horrible to go, to be excited to watch, to see the loop-de-loops and then to watch the pilot crash at the end of the show! How awful that would be! A biplane stunt pilot died after he crashed in front of thousands of spectators during a Dayton, Ohio, air show Saturday, a day after another pilot was killed during an air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They had to cut one of the pilots out of his aircraft and he died on the way to the hospital. In Wisconsin on Friday, two single-engine war planes at an experimental air show collided while landing, killing one of the pilots and injuring the other, officials said. How terrible! Here's the whole story. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/28/airshow.roundup.ap/index.html

this is why I do not go to air shows. I will have to say the number of airshows there are to the amount of deaths is really low. It is just that they are televisised when there is a crash.

I've been to a couple of airshows, but luckily there were no crashes at either of the ones I've attended. My dad is coming up this fall to go to the Air show with my husband and son. Hopefully there won't be any crashes then. I would hate to see one, or even worse, have my toddler son see one. He will probably go to a lot of air shows, though, since there's one on base every fall.
