I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or relieved...

So I posted last night that I was going to be disappearing for a bit, as I was getting a really massive writing job. After I posted, I thought about it a little bit, talked to my fiance about it, and decided that even though the money would be wonderful, I could probably make better money doing other writing work instead, AND I would have more free time that way. So I've decided that I'm going to decline this job and work on other stuff instead. Of course, now I'm waiting for the opportunity to decline the job, which should have come through already, but it hasn't yet. Looks like there is a holdup on the other end, somehow, and I can't even let the guy know that I won't be doing the job. So I'm a little disappointed that I have to turn down the money, but I'm definitely relieved that I will have more free time. I was not looking forward to working 8 hour days, and then coming home to work 5 more hours every night, hoping that would be enough time to get everything done!

Indeed it was. More and more, I'm discovering that I really don't get paid well enough by the buyers there to bother with it. That, and they have crazy deadlines. :( There will be a package on its way to you when I make it to the post office. Hopefully, on my lunch break today. :)

I don't believe any one thing should take up too much of our time, lifes very short, If you ask me, I think you made the right choice. If you feel good about it that's all that matters.

It can be hard sometimes to turn money down for any job, as a society we're taught that money is money and the more the merrier. However I think that sometimes we just have to stick to what fits our lives and what makes us happy and what our intuition tells us is right for our situation. I'm glad you won't be leaving myLot!
