tips for a good gym workout

i am going to the gym this past few months. i have been pretty much consistent with my training. my motivation? my beautiful baby girl. my wife is pregnant and we are expecting God's gift to arrive next week. :D so.. any of you guys out there who are also training in the gym? share some gym-related tips here for having a successful and wonderful gym workout. here's mine... 1. set goals. strength? bulking up? fat loss? 2. be consistent with your training. it's not just a new year's resolution thing. keep a diary or mark your training days in the calendar. 2. return those weights you used...don't be that lazy...returning them can also burn calories and build muscles. 4. squats and milk. it works!
