The spirit of mylot is dampned nowadays

I feel that the spirit of mylot is dampned nowadays. Not going to the earning part but I see that interesting discussions are vanished now. Many of my friends don't even log on or are not regular. May be it is due to the steep downfall in mylot earnings. What you feel? I have really enjoyed mylot till I was in some 750 posts and after that mylot is not going so active. What is the reason? How can we get back the spirit? Is it only earning that snatched the spirit of mylot? I think we should try to regain the spirit in mylot.

Yes, its correct, interesting topics are hard to come by. Most are basically the same, just phrased differently. And then there are the inane ones like ‘ do you love your hubby? What color lenses do you wear?’ so on and so forth. It becomes specially difficult for people who would like to participate in meaningful discussions, on which you can write something or maybe debate on. But there are still some who do post interesting topics and it also feels nice to be able to say Hi to friends once in a while.

Yes even I am into Mylot coz it gives me a platform to share my views with people worldwide. You cant believe how surprised I was to understand that no matter where and how we are positioned, our basic problems and solutions to them, are same. Its unique human bond to which I am hooked. The payments are like interests you received at the bank, our discussions and bonding are the main investments.

I have literally enjoyed the discussions in mylot a month ago also, but now I can't find any or a very few discussion to answer with a spirit. Earning may be a factor, may be holidays another factor, but I think every mylot people should share some good meaningful discussion and also interact with friends through comments, PMs etc to make mylot a nice place to meet the friends from whole world.

Well sorry but I don't agree with your view points. Might be because this is what you are feeling about mylot.. My feelings are almost different from what you feel. For me mylot is a fun place from the day I joined mylot and it's still rocking.

Many myLotters are on holidays now. Also some of the recent discussions by some newcomers are the type that one dare not answer because I know I do not want to be invited to inappropriate sites because they assume--and neither do a lot of myLotters so some posts are not answered. In other words, they are meant to shock. Some posts are very limited, in that only a few can answer them. We are getting selective in that we do not answer every post. Then there is the pay rate going down, and that makes a difference because even you say, the money is not important, you or someone else in your family paid for the computer, there is the isp, etc. I suppose you say the money does not matter and you would be on myLot even if it did not pay, but. you could ask myLot to put a "donate my earnings to ---myLot" or "give my money to a charity" if you think the making money is damaging the spirit. But I am a writer, I love making money this way, and I see no conflict between earning money and writing on myLot. So I have not lost it.

I am not a writer but I enjoy posting responses on interesting topics, some personal experience, thoughts. Obviously we all are for money. But mylot has some different spirit apart from money. I hope that spirit be back soon as everyone is back from holidays. Thanks for your thoughtful response.

i think you are right, i also have some friends who don't reply to my discussions and also don't start new discussion often and some of them don't even log in. i think mylot should do something about it to regain the spirit of people in posting, like adding new features to mylot and giving money as per the quality of discussion and deleting the accounts of people who don't login after 3-4 months.

Hi alpine thanks for sharing your view. You are very right a feature like pay as per quality of discussion will improve the quality of discussion and deleting accounts who did not log in 3 months with a short notice will also be helpful.

I haven't been here long enough to know for sure, but i think maybe the reason for the slowdown in topics maybe due to the season. Nice weather and people are out and about more and spend less time on the computer. I think the spirit will return.

For a lot of people it's summer time. There are plenty of outdoor activities. Maybe a lot of mylotters are busy with family outings. Or they could be burned out and need a little break. Sorry, just trying to look on the bright side. I know I'm guilty of straying away and coming back.

hello there ibsnet!. i am very saddened to know how you feel about mylot nowadays. i myself am not so active here compared to the past months.. well.. mylot is basically a site where people can make extra money, it has gained its popularity because of its capability to pay people to share their ideas and to communicate. from that point of view, the relationship established here becomes secondary to the earnings. a drop in the earnings of the people has a high probability in causing people here in mylot to lose their vigor in answering posts and making new discussions. i myself am guilty of that and i am also saddened because the earnings that i can have has become the primary reason why i am here. this opinion is just how i come to see things and i wish to share it with you. thanks for the nice discussion..

Many thanks for a nice response. I now feel that someone is there who just feels the same as I am. I think mylot organisers also should have felt a little of our feelings.

I have been here for many months already and there are just a lot of things happening in my life right now that prevented me from being more active here. I still love being here and as I said this has become my outlet and venue to know some people across the world. I may not be as active as before but I am still staying here just the same.

WELL whe have to admit that most of the members came here because of the earnings and became addictive because the environment is very nice... But then since mylot suddenly changed their scheme, many of these active members became inactive and became disappointed right... They tend to seek for other better forum in the internet and stick to there.. right now Im more active on the other site than here.. You can check it out... http://www.4newbiesforum.com/index.php?referrerid=1353

Whats wrong with mylot discussions are most of them are very morbid and hard to respond to. I am a new member to mylot and I could not find one article but this one to respond to. I agree with this article, we need more happy interesting articles to answer to .

Hi first of all I welcome you in mylot. Mylot is really an interesting forum where people can earn money but also share their own thoughts and more you make friends you will find that mylot has a spirit. I really enjoy this forum. Now some people may be due to holidays are not available and the spirit has recently little dampned but it is sure that mylot is the best forum of this kind, maybe their payrate has been reduced drastically nowadays.

yes you are right ...... earnings are not updated regularly and the discussions are not that important.... if you wish lets form a group like " mylot come back " and post fruitful discussions...by gathering some of our buddies in mylot.

There are lots of reasons that make people leave or become less active than before. I still think that the earning at myLot is still the best compared to others that offer to give more but you have to follow so many rules just to earn and get paid. As for me, I have become less active not because I am tired of myLot but because my wife just gave birth to my first baby boy in April and since then, most of my time have been dedicated to the baby. Apart from that, the increase in workload at the office has also contributed to my absence. However, when I can find a minute or two, I will be back to participate in the discussions here at myLot. Have a nice day!

Well I have only joined this week, so I guess I was never part of the "spirit" you speak of. Maybe you could try inviting some more interesting people?? But after all, there are only so many discussions to be had, it seems like you have had your share of them...
